What Is And Cannot Not Be

Possibility cannot,
account for actuality.
Whatever can come to be,
is caused in order to be.

Nothing cannot be something.
I am but can not be.
My existence depends on,
what is but cannot not be.

Every effect has a cause,
principle of causality.
The existence of God is,
theistic relativity.

the God the heart needs,
the mind only grieves

When I was a Christian a lot of the trouble I had with theology was how so much was based on these assumptions that are handed to us. These assumptions have been handed down for thousands of years and yet so many of us still embrace these stories and truths. I understand there is a meaning, moral, and idea behind all of these and many are meant to guide our lives but how can we be so sure that these values are for everyone? If the values of any given religion don't work for another religion then how do we judge which is right? Is this where faith that you've chosen the correct religion comes into play? All of these questions are what led be to pursue a positivist attitude toward life and philosophy. Instead of embracing a divine power, or the metaphysical point of view of looking for the inner essence or "nature" behind things, I've looked at anything true in life as being empirical and proven that holds up to logical analysis. At first it seems to be dissatisfying, but after a period of time where you practice and get good at it, it has allowed me to clear up so many problems with my life. Personal and otherwise. It's been a great learning experience of how to use this philosophy to my advantage, and every day I improve. I'm not trying to push what I believe, but simply state how I feel when I see you post these blogs. I see you running in circles and struggling with what you believe, even be stripped of your happiness as you said.
